Experience
Heulwen has been the regional lead for the Teaching Assistant Learning Pathway since 2018.
She represents Partneriaeth on the cross regional TALP group which develops the national training programmes. Heulwen leads a team of HLTAs who promote and deliver these programmes across the region. She is also a member of the Welsh Government Teaching Assistants Professional Learning Steering Group looking at opportunities, entitlements and expectations for Teaching Assistants.
Heulwen is originally from a banking background and began her career in education in 2001. She has supported both mainstream learners and those with additional learning needs across the primary age range.
She was awarded Higher Level Teaching Assistant status in 2005 with the first cohort that was assessed.
